Available for all tutors but mandatory for any tutor who receives an ‘area for improvement’ (AFI) in this area following a formal observation
Learners enrol on our courses for a variety of reasons; some are ‘chomping at the bit’ to soak up all the knowledge they can, some need to gain a qualification for employment purposes and others might be nervous about returning to learning and maybe need to develop in confidence. Whatever their motivation, NCLS wants to provide them with the best learning opportunity possible to suit their needs and to do this we need to firstly engage them, and then challenge them; believe in them and have high expectations for them.
In this workshop you will learn more about the strategies that promote high achievement, create stretch and challenge and enable learners to succeed. It will include practical examples of good practice and an interactive opportunity to focus on how you can apply this within your own subject.
